25 ft. tall altar window, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Charleston, SC

During the Middles Ages, stained glass windows replaced the dark stone walls of Romanesque churches with brilliant, colored light. These windows became important in worship because of their beauty and because they illustrated Biblical truths that were not available to many people at that time. It was easy for people to see the Biblical parallels through the splendor of stained glass light. It has been centuries since stained glass was first used to minister God's word to His people. Medieval artists were instilled with a sense of creating for the glory of God. That same spirit is alive at Charlestowne Stained Glass, Inc. Now, as then, stained glass remains the silent witness for the "Light of The World."

From the beginning, Charlestowne Stained Glass Inc. designers will work closely with you to ensure that the stained glass window designs you choose are the best possible selection for your church. Whether the church contains large or small windows or both, all windows will complement each other and add beauty and meaning to any sanctuary.

Painting can add a new dimension to glass work. It provides the opportunity to add lines and lettering, create new textures and color in selected areas.

We understand that the most expensive window is not always the most beautiful or appropriate. Lower cost stained glass may be desired. Simpler designs are a way to lower the cost, while still adding beautiful stained glass to your church.

With years of experience, Biblical knowledge and a wealth of talent, our artists will provide a meaningful, glorious window that will become a lasting part of your church.
